Got 5 minutes?

Here's a fun stamp from Unity Stamps.  It's one of those quick and cute little cards that you make for the hubby and leave it on his desk or in his briefcase or somewhere you know he will find it during the day.  Just a little note inside to let him know that you are thinking about him....

All I know is once I have his full attention, that five minute rule is out the window!  I now have his attention for as long as I want it.  Ahhh, isn't love grand?  Maybe it's time to make a quick and cute card for that someone special.

Spring Breeze

Here's the cutest image from Lizzy Love, Oddball Art Stamps.  They are having a fun challenge over on their blog for Spring theme.  I just loved this adorable image and colored her up to match this great butterfly card. I added lots of pretty butterflies and flower strewn lace.  I see her hair just blowing in the wind, which makes me think of a spring wind.  How sweet.

Totally loving the new images over at the store she as on Etsy. Check it out.  Plus, don't you love the skelly pants she has on here?  Eeek, you know I want to find me some pants like that!  If only I had the skinny legs like she does.  Of course, maybe if I just wore Skelly pants, it would make my legs look skinnier.

Cheers, Holley

There's also a wonderful Lizzy Love sponsored Challenge over at the Come and get it Challenge Blog. called Spring is in the Air.

Here's an awesome fairy from Sls Lines.  She's called Fairy stamp with butterfly wings.  I just had to show this beauty from SLS lines as I often tend to pick her funny/quirky images as that is what I love.  This artist also does the most beautiful images as well.  I did her in some non-traditional olive style mixed with pink.  She's just gorgeous.

Check out all her beautiful images, as well as those fun and quirky images that you know I love!!

Also, I just found out that she's going to be doing some custom drawn stamps!  WOW, how cool is that!?!  have you ever wanted a stamp of yourself?  of your DH? your kiddo? your pet?  check out this sample she has here...click here

Come here, big guy

Here's an awesome Sweet Pea stamps image called Come Hither from artist Lynne Stansbery.   I just love this sexy lady looking back over her shoulder for her man.  How beautiful is that?  I am using some gorgeous papers from Paper Temptress to complete this card.

The base of the card is a beautiful mica/metallic called Azalea.  The orange layer and die cut corners are also shimmery mica/metallic paper called Flame.  The gorgeous clear layer comes from Hambly Studios.  It is one of the Overlay sheets that you can get as a 12x12 piece called Hanging Heleconias.  There's also a great value pack that sells many different sheets cut to 6x6" pieces which are just perfect for card creations.  The image itself is printed on Neenah Solar White Classic Crest. I have also used Classic Crest in other locations to layer. The last embellishment is a die cut word "love" using some beautiful ruche paper called Yellow Crepe
Here's a wonderful close up of the image which is currently on sale in the store as a digi stamp.
Be sure and check out all of the other gorgeous images from Lynne at the Sweet Pea store.  She makes all sorts of realistic images as well as cutesy images.  Also, take a peek at our group over on Facebook, we have a Sweet Pea Stamps Friends and Fans group where you are welcome to share your creations, join in challenges and see tons of wonderful creations.  Drop by!

Best Wishes

Here's a stunning image from The East Wind. This gorgeous girl was a wonderful freebie that she sent out at the beginning of the month. I had to print her out and make a card with her, I know I missed the deadline for the first contest of the month (which just ended on the 12th), but I had to share this card so Unky (the artist) knows how much I LOVE her awesome images.  Also, if you are a huge fan of The East Wind, you can also get her images in rubber over at Sweet Pea stamps!

The current contest over at the East Wind Challenge is to use Fiber of any kind, so the ribbon, lace and hmmm, maybe even the banner might count....well, definitely the first two, the last one has a fiber in it!  Hope you all are having a happy April.

Miracles do happen

Sharing this adorable image from artist Sherri Baldy today.  Isn't she just the cutest?  It's a fun winter theme image. I think now that I have been out of the freezing level of weather for about three and half weeks, I can look at an image like this and smile again.  I did the image up in lovely  spring colors even though those adorable corner dies are actually snowflake themed.  This stamp is IMG0094

Hope you like this cute little girl. Sherri just released a bunch of new images and has had a bunch of new clear stamps come out as well.  So exciting to see all the amazing images she creates every day! I can't hardly keep up with all her stamps. I could do nothing but color her images and would still never be able to keep up with her, she must never cease to be creating!

There's a fun contest over on the SSS Challenge blog, Anything Goes with a mother's day twist. So drop by over there and share something for your chance to win a prize!  Cheers, Holley

Don't be afraid to dream

Here's a great image from Sweet Pea artist Helena Reis called Mushroom Fairy II. I created an adorable shaker box card using this sweet image. I added a wooden embellishment with the word "dream" and the sentiment "Don't be afraid to dream a little bigger."  I used a Spellbinders die cut around the shaker box and a similar border punch on the bottom as well as matching red/white polka dot themed items all over the card.

Here's a copy of the image before putting her in the shaker box.  I just thought she looked so dreamy that Dream was the perfect topic.  She's also available as a digi stamp.

I hope you loved this card today. Be sure and drop by the Sweet Pea Stamps Friends and Fans board on Facebook to join in our Awesome contests, check out all the latest creations and share your creations with us!  They are also having a dots and stripes challenge over at Left of Center Creative Challenge. Ppinkydolls

Here's a super adorable Ppinkydolls image!  love this cute girl. She's riding on a swan that colored up black.  I wanted to make something very spring like, so I did the whole card in bright oranges, perfect for spring or perhaps even summer.  Don't you love the brightness?

Ladibug Gal

Here's a fun card using gorgeous papers from Paper Temptress and a super cute image from Sweet Pea stamps artist Sandra Caldwell called Ladibug Gal.  Isn't she adorable?  Here I am using a simple combination of papers to make a quick and cute card.
I started with a thick card base that's a dark red, perfect to go with the colors on this image, it's called Haute Red Brawny 100#.  The decorative layer comes from a 6x6" piece of Hambly Studio Screenprints.  These are sold as 12" sheets or in value packs of 6x6" combos.  The one I used comes from the 12" sheet called Vintage Patchwork.  What's awesome about this sheet is that you get 4 different 6x6" patterns which are the perfect size for cards!  I took the top left quarter (if you have looked at the photo) and cut it out.  Then I used a die cut to trim out the very center of the paper so that the corners would match.  The remainder of the paper  I used to them cut out Memory Box die cut corners.  I printed out my image on Neenah Solar White Classic Crest Paper and colored her in copic markers.

What I think (in hindsight) would make a totally awesome addition to this cute card is a tiny button of a ladybuy to go right on her nose. I can see how she's looking, that would be too cute, in fact, I may add that to this project before sending it to a friend.

I hope this card inspired you today.  Cheers, Holley

Amazing

Here's an artist that I just love, she has images sold over at Sweet Pea stamps and there's additional images she sells at her Etsy store, The East Wind.  Check out her great images in both places.  I love this image, I have seen it done in several colors, some using a gorgeous orange, like she conjuring up some flame or fire, some in gray as smoke. I chose this light blue, almost like ice or wind chill.  Isn't she awesome.  I added a sentiment from Cosmo Crickett, "Let's do something Amazing."

Hope you are having a great day.  Spring should be springing up everywhere now! I hope you are enjoying it!  There's a fun challenge blog for your East Wind cards here.

Cheers, Holley

I've got my eye on you!

Here's something that you all know I would love!  It's Lizzy Love!! This image is too awesome. It's one of those images that I had to buy as soon as I saw it.  Yep.  I suppose this would be more appropriate around Halloween time, but I just love it year round. I had to manage to sneak in a little skulls on the card too, the cent of the flower has a bunch of little skulls.

Hope this card gave you a little giggle today.  Lizzy Love, Oddball Art has an anything goes challenge on her facebook site that you can check out.  Last month I won some new images from her that you will be seeing real soon.  I picked both cute and creepy :)

Have a great day

It's the Cadbury Lion

Happy Friday everyone!  I am sharing a fun Easter card today. There's a wonderful section at the store for just Easter stamps.  This card today is using an adorable image from Sweet Pea artist Sandra Caldwell, called Lion Bunny.  This image just cracked me up. It totally brought back to memory an old Cadbury Crème Egg commercial where all these animals were dressed up like rabbits to try out for the Cadbury bunny position.  Too cute!! He's just perfect for an Easter card.

I added in my own sentiment. I suppose it's a must to give it to someone who has seen the commercial.  Though, I had quite a laugh when I saw that the Cadbury Lion actually has his own Facebook page (here).  Here's the old commercial for those of you who have no idea what I am talking about or for those of you who just want to reminisce(here).

Here's a close-up of this adorable image.

There's still a little time to download a fun image and create a sweet Easter card.  When you do, be sure and go over to the Sweet Pea Stamps Friends and Fans page on Facebook and share your creations with us!
