Just Bee You

Here's an adorable image from Stamping Chef. I totally had a bee costume on a past Halloween, so I just love this girl. TOO cute. I added some great wood die cuts and adorable bling in glittery yellow to go along with it.  Yep, that's me just being me!!

Can you believe May is almost here? I know I can't!! Just had an appointment with my Epileptologist! Love that doctor.  He's a real inspiration. My total loss for the last three months was 24lb.  He was like, "Seriously, How do you do that?"  Just exercise.  Lots of it, about 1000 calories worth a day.

Have a great day everyone!  I am sharing this card for this week's Stampin Chef challenge here.

Cheers, Holley

Queen for the day!

Here's a gorgeous stamp from Sherri Baldy. The challenge over at the SSS Challenge blog is Anything Goes, add a sentiment. So I chose this adorable image. Drop by the Challenge blog and choose your favorite image to create a card this week.

Off to my favorite doctor today, Dr Aboumatar, who is the one who set up everything for my brain surgery. Just a routine visit.  Hope you all have a great time. Let me also add that I am actually walking 2 hours to get to his office as well as the two hours home.  Yep, getting back in shape. I have dropped 20 pounds since Feb.

Hugs all. Holley

Squigglefly Challenge

Hi all, just wanted to share a card I made for this week's Squigglefly Challenge.  This fun card was done in all black and white, as I thought it very much went with the image itself.  Then I added a tiny amount of bling, with the silver rhinestones as well as the brad that says MOM.  The Challenge this week is to create a mother's day card.  I am using a new image from artist Carmen Gamble called Vintage Car. It comes with the saying shown plus two additional birthday sentiments.

Join in the fun at Squigglefly Challenge Blog this week.  If you use a Squigglefly image, even a freebie, you will be eligible to win the prize.

Cheers, Holley

Project materials:  Cardstock (Neenah, Making Memories); Images (Squigglefly); Flower (Recollections); Punch (Martha Stewart); Buttons (Grandma's Button Bag); Brad (OTC); Bling (Recollections); Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue all, Glue dots);

Cute Little Calendars

Here's some more of those cute little calendars. I must say, at church esp, I have people telling me all the time that they have these little calendars now and they think of me everytime they look at them! What a quick and cute little gift to give someone.

It's a great way to make a gift that gives all year and doesn't break your bank, it actually fits inside a card you would mail to someone and depending on how fancy you make the topper, might not even cost you additional postage!

Cheers, Holley

You are Loved

Here's an adorable image from Lili of the Valley.  It's a cute little bunny, so I thought I would share it just after Easter time. I am using some green twill that's printed with sweet day dream sentiment from Heidi Grace.  The fun flocked paper is also Heidi Grace.

Did you hunt easter eggs?  did you die some eggs this year?  I really wish I had a couple hard boiled eggs to eat right now. That would be great.
Project materials:  Cardstock (Bazzill Swiss, Neenah, Heidi Grace); Image(Lilli of the Valley); Diecut (Spellbinders Nestabilities); Sentiment (Cosmo Cricket); Ink (Memento, Colorbox Chalk); Color (Copic markers); Ribbon (Heidi Grace); Buttons (Recollections); Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue All, Ribbon Glue);

Here's a close up of this image.  Sweet Pea stamps blog is featuring cards this week using stamps by this artist, so if you love her images, drop by there and see what all the other design team members made!

Elphaba and her Monkey

Here's a gorgeous creation using a combination of papers from Paper Temptress and an image from Sweet Pea stamps.  This Charmaine Flannery image is called Elphaba and her Monkey.  My coloring is very different from the artist's original, so be sure and check it out to see a different variation.  The variety of papers I am using here are from Paper Temptress.
The base of the card is a gorgeous Mica cardstock called Ruby.  It's a very deep red, almost purple looking color.  The die cut layer is a gorgeous green Heavyweight Cardstock called Citron. THe top cardstock with die cut edges is a lightweight specialty paper from Hambly Studio Screenprints.  It's a tiny piece of a paper called Out on a Limb. Isn't this a great way to use that extra paper that doesn't have the image on it. I just love the shimmery black with the silver accents.

Here's a wonderful close up of the image itself from Sweet Pea stamps. Below I am showing a close up of the gorgeous papers as well as some translucent flowers.  I used some cute polka dot buttons on them as well as a flower rose. I also added some green pearls as highlights.

This card opens normally, and will fit perfectly into those 5.5" square envelopes. So it's just great as a slight variation on general A2 sized cards.  I hope you have some great ideas now.

Cheers, Holley

Love Conquers All

Here's an awesome image from Stamping Chef.  I totally love this warrior woman. I added a fun sentiment to go with her, Love Conquers All, though guessing, she looks like she could conquer a whole lot on her own.  She's Georgia the Brave.

Hope you are having a great week, it's the end of April now and time for May to begin.

Project materials:  Cardstock (MAMBI, AC, Neenah); Image (Stamping Chef); Sentiment (Hobby Lobby); Flowers (Prima); Bling (Recollections); Color(Copic Markers); Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue dots, Glue all);

I am using some printed cardstock from DCWV and Bazzill papers. The cardstock stickers are from Adorn It.  I hope you will join in the contest this week at the SSS Challenge blog. The winner will get wonderful prizes from Sherri Baldy.

Sweet Bunny Easter Card

Here's an adorable image from artist Sandra Caldwell of Babycakes Doodles N Designs. Happy Easter Everyone!! I hope you have a wonderful day. I am off to church. We are having a breakfast there along with a fun little petting zoo for the kids, as well as an open invitation to the whole neighborhood to stop by. Last year it was quite a draw for people, both those walking by as well as those who saw us and wanted to stop in.

Wishing you all a very Happy Holiday. Many blessings.  Please say prayers for Anjelina who is having a baby and was just diagnosed with medical problems. Due to the pregnancy she can't yet get treatment for the issues.  Pray that God will hold her and the baby close and then heal her after birth so that she can get chemo.

Easter Blessings

Here's a gorgeous stamp that's being featured all week long at Sweet Pea, it's Easter Blessing from artist Katerina Koukiotis.  I just loved this gorgeous stamp.  I chose to color her first in Copic markers and then cut the image out.  Then I used some gorgeous wings that I die cut from beautiful yellow paper to add wings to her.   I added a vellum sentiment with dark blue bling and a cross brad.

This gorgeous image is available both in rubber as well as digi format.  I think this stamp is great for lots of different card topics.
I hope you all are enjoying all the great ideas with this stamp, be sure and check out all the other Design Team Member's creations this week.  I think they would be gorgeous for Easter Cards or any other topic you might need.

Angel Wings

Here's a gorgeous image from Sweet Pea artist Regan Kubecek called Angel Wings.  I wanted to make a monotone card using all different pinks. I mounted the image on some paisley flocked paper from Heidi Grace and added a sweet sentiment from Adorn It.  Be sure and check out the artist's original colors as these colors really make it look different.

Here's a close up of the stamp.  This image is also available as a rubber stamp.

Hope you are having a wonderful Spring now.  Are you all ready for Easter?  Even though this card is not totally Easter theme, I think an Angel card with a gorgeous sentiment inside or a verse on the front would make a lovely Easter card!

Cheers, Holley

Life's Good

Here's a fun new image from Queen Kat artist Mary Ellen Smith called Planting Carrots Bunny Wabbit.  Perfect for Easter time as well as a fun gardening theme card for spring time.  I am using some wonderful papers from Paper Temptress on this project.
The base of the card is a shimmery Mica cardstock called Flame.  It's gorgeous with all the oranges in the image as well as the oranges in the embellishments.  The top layer used in the border is also a shimmery Mica cardstock called Fairway.  I used these two colors as they are great from spring time.  The image itself was printed on Heavenly White.  It's a beautiful cardstock for copic markers.  There's also just a tiny piece of yellow behind the sentiment (this is why you save those little offcuts! I keep mine in a baggie for just such an occasion) it's called Gold. That's cute little sentiment in white is a sticker that comes from Cosmo Cricket. I love that is printed in the perfect green to match the card!

Hope this card inspires you to make some fun Easter theme cards!
